The month of November brings a flurry of celebrations, Thanksgiving and National Veterans Month come immediately to mind, but this month also highlights another important observance: National Career Development Month.

What is National Career Development Month?

Starting back in 1967, National Career Development Month was created in response to the need for comprehensive career assistance and support. This observance turned into a nationwide initiative that provides a platform for professionals, educators, and companies, to offer resources and guidance for individuals as they navigate their professional journeys. Many institutions and professionals are driving this movement forward, and CAI is proud to stand alongside them, championing meaningful career development and growth.

How does CAI support professional development?

We believe that talent and dedication are the true measures of success. With access to the right development opportunities, everyone has the chance to excel and reach their full potential. That’s why we provide all employees—from student interns to C-suite executives—with career development resources to help them excel and reach their full potential. We have ongoing initiatives to foster growth within our employees such as mentorship programs, our LMS, training courses, certifications, and more! We specifically have a dedicated employee resource group (ERG) called RISE which supports career growth for our employees year-round, not just in November.

RISE stands for Retention, Inspire, Support, and Empower. Their mission is to provide our employees with opportunities for personal and professional growth to maximize their individual skillsets, connect with other professionals, and elevate their career. RISE empowers employees through:
